Petition Presentation

RARA submitted nearly 4,000 ‘hard’ signatures to the full Wycombe District Council meeting on Monday this week. We were able to make a formal presentation lasting five minutes, the content of which is attached below for your information. RARA felt the councillors listened very attentively, and we left 50 copies of the presentation for them to take away. There was no Q&A afterwards, or debate, but apparently this is normal as the petition needs to be processed first. We are likely to hear the Council’s response in June.

After the presentation, the Leader of the Council, Katrina Wood, made a statement on behalf of WDC. RARA will be responding to this statement in due course, so we will keep you updated. You can read RARA’s presentation and Katrina Wood’s statement by following the links at the bottom of this post.

Bucks Free Press
published an article regarding our petition which appeared this Monday, and featured a photo of RARA members. You can read the article by clicking here.

Mix’96 Radio
broadcast two short interviews about our petition throughout the day yesterday, and featured an article on their website which you can read by clicking here.

You can now sign the RARA petition online. It went live last week on  We have also promoted the petition via social media, with the Bucks Free Press and Mix’96 also providing information and a link.
